Hello!

Today was the last day before the test so we took some time to do some review stations as a scavenger hunt. The stations are below. If you’d like some extra practice, there is still the homework from Friday that acts as a study guide.

Here are some answer keys for a couple of the stations.

Hello!

Today we took some time to practice solving square root equations by working with our groups and fixing our mistakes from the exit ticket yesterday!

Remember that our test is Tuesday 11/26!

Hello!

Today we were trying to solve square root equations again, but this time we noticed that at some point we had a quadratic equation so we had to use the quadratic formula. All our steps were the same ones from before though, so that was nice.

Hello!

Today we started to solve square root functions. We had the following guidelines:

  1. Isolate the square root.
  2. Square both sides of the equation (take to the 2nd power).
  3. Solve by isolating the variable.
  4. Check your answer.

The homework is to finish the notes sheet and worksheet below.

Hello!

Today we started learning about Square Root Functions and Transformations. The slides on Agile Mind are from the Topic 11, Overview and Exploring Square Root Transformations sections.

The test will be Tuesday 11/26.

Hello!

Today we were working with the Quadratic Formula, but we had a square root of a negative number. We learned we could use “i” when this happens.

Hello!

Today we learned (or relearned) about the quadratic equation! We will be using this in different situations than you did in Algebra 1, but it will still be the same formula used.

Hello!

Today we started our new topic about Solving Polynomial Equations and today we focused on how to solve in factored form: (2x-5)(x+9)=0.

Here are the notes and the homework is on the back side.

Hello!

Today we used Desmos to help us learn about how many roots/zeros a polynomial of ANY degree could have! If you want a review and/or needed to finish, the codes are below.

Go to student.desmos.com, enter the code, then log in with your school Google account.

1st: QAN HRZ

3rd: 7WT GRJ

4th: VYY TZH

5th: H2Z DMJ

6th: RD5 RXY

The homework tonight is to finish the Desmos activity and to answer the questions below.
