Omar was the first student to submit a practice assignment on Schoology. Great Job Omar and thank you. I was able to receive it and comment on it. This was just a practice assignment and was not required. I posted it late this afternoon as I was learning how to make assignments. I really appreciate Omar taking the time to try it.

Thank you for your patience today. It was a challenge but those of you who stuck with me I really appreciate. We finished a little earlier today because I was receiving error messages and students couldn’t hear me. We will start again tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.. Dear Families,

Patience and kindness are the most important words and actions this year!   This is new to all of us, including me, we will take it one day at a time and do the best we can each day. 

Here are the steps that I found are most helpful for students.   I practiced logging on as a student over the weekend

 You MUST log in through the student portal page of the Dearborn Schools website.

Do NOT use the Schoology App. 

• It doesn’t have access to the district provided domains and resources. It’ll redirect you to the Global Zoom site and not the Dearborn Zoom site which is restricted to Dearborn School Users. So that will cause an error. 

So…  

Step 1: Go to www.dearbornschools.org

Step 2: Click <Home> tab in the heading banner, then <Student Portal>from the drop down menu.

Step 3: Click on Schoology. It will ask you to login with your Dearborn email address

• (Student number)@dearbornschools.org
• Student’s password
• If you can’t log in —call the Help Desk at 313-827-3003

Step 4:Once logged in you should see our Schoology Homepage: Click <Courses>

Step 5: Click on <my courses> on the right side

Step 6: Scroll to the bottom of the long list where it says Ms. Earle and click <2nd and 3rd grade>

Step 7: Click on the Zoom meeting link at the top. (or find the link under updates)

If the trouble persists, please call the Help Desk at 313-827-3003.

I will not be able to answer calls or check emails at this time so if you are having problems logging on please contact the help desk.
