Today we had an assembly that went over the expectations of a Bryant student with the principals and our counselors. This too much of our morning so our classes were shorter and we finished our Class Agreements in this time. The afternoon was spent with the entire 6th grade working on our teambuilding and communication skills outside playing various strategy games in small groups. It was a lot of fun!

Please have your composition notebook on Tuesday!!!

No school tomorrow or Monday! See you all Tuesday and enjoy the long weekend!

Homework:

  • Summer Learning Book talk is due September 27th! Be prepared to present with your finished book talk on this day!
  • Movie Permission Slip due Tuesday September 4th
  • Please have a composition notebook in class by September 4th

Summer Learning Expectation for all 6th graders:

Read 3-5 novels over the summer (no graphic novels). Be prepared to do a book talk when you arrive in the Fall! This won’t be due on the first day but if you would like to get a head start on the assignment I attached the directions and rubric!

Today we discussed what it means to be a “great student” and what we expect from our peers in order to have a great class. We agreed upon these expectations as a class and will display our agreement so we can hold each other accountable for these expectations every day!

We are signing up for Remind text reminders tomorrow, if you have a cell phone that sends and receives text messages, you may bring it to class and I will help you sign up for it, with your parents permission! Please discuss this at home. 🙂 (Cellphones will be turned off and returned to lockers when we are finished!)
