Today in class, we will begin the hour by collecting our 9.1 and 9.2 Worksheet.  We will then review government in Ancient Egypt, we will then work on a vocabulary map for Chapter 9. The vocabulary maps are worth 15 points including their Chapter 9 Vocabulary. If time permits, we will learn about Family life in Ancient Egypt from our Daily Life in Ancient Egypt packet!

Today in class, we will begin the hour with a preview activity over Chapter 9. We will then check our Chapter 9 Vocabulary and begin to learn about Daily life in Ancient Egypt from pages 92-93. Good Morning!

As a reminder, tomorrow’s test will be worth 35 minutes. It will be 27 questions, matching the vocabulary, match the Pharaoh to the accomplishment (monument), 2 scaling questions and “How did the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt accomplish and how did they do it?”, that must be answered in 3 sentences!

Today in class, we will place some items in our notebook for Chapter 9. We will then review our Cornell Notes followed by checking the study guide!

Good Morning!

Today in class we will begin the hour by collecting flocabulary. We will then take our Map of Africa quiz very quickly. After, we will finish up with Pharaoh Ramses II and write out our essential question on our Cornell Notes and Chapter 8 Study Guide.

Our Chapter 8 Tests will consist of 27 questions, multiple choice, matching vocabulary, match the Pharaoh to their site of accomplishment, scaling, and the essential question of “What did the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt and how did they accomplish it?”

Good Morning TGIF!

Today in class, we will begin the hour by getting our Chapter 8 Study Guide. We will check the study guide next Tuesday and Test will be on Wednesday worth 35 points. Yesterday students were given a pop quiz over Chapter 8.1-8.4 materials, grades are available on student/parent connect.  We will then be collecting our Geoskills WS and our Giza letters. We will  then watch flocabulary and learn about and Pharaoh Hatsheput Section 8.5!

Good Morning!

Today in class, we will begin the hour by practicing for our Map Quiz on Monday – Students will also receive their maps of Africa to study from today! (If you look at yesterday’s blog post there are different options to study) We will then review our Cornell Notes over Pharaoh Khufu and Pharaoh Sensurut. We will then read about Pharaoh Ramses II and work on our Giza Letter that is due tomorrow! For homework tonight students must find one main idea from section 8.5 and 8.6 that will be given to them on a sticky note!

*We will be taking a quiz on Monday over the Map of Africa. If you have access to an ipod/ipad/iphone, you can download a free app called tap maps quiz! Today in class, we will begin the hour by reviewing our Chapter 8 Vocabulary and practicing for our map quiz next Monday, followed by turning in our Map of Africa. Today in class, we are going to begin Chapter 8, which is about Ancient Egypt, this is one of my favorite units of the year, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do teaching it! We will begin the hour by going over our Chapter 4-7 Notes and checking to make sure they did them correctly. We will review over our Chapter 8 Vocabulary and Essential Question. We will then read 8.1 and 8.2 and take notes!
