- Bellwork BW Tue 10-31
- I modeled #39 for you. In number 39 we were supposed to find the equation of a parabola given 2 points, one of them is the vertex. Check the notes below.
- Section 2.1_sample problem 39
- Homework p169 # 7-12,13-18,33-38, 39-44
- For 33-38 make sure to include all features of a parabola we discussed in the sample problem (33)
- Check previous post for notes and sample problem 33
- SAT BW Mon 10-30
- We continued with section 2.1 and I modeled # 7 for you
- #7 you are supposed to find the equation of a line using 2 given points. Those given points were in function notation and you had to change them to coordinate notation then find the slope. After finding the slope you use one of the points to plug in x and y and solve for b (the y intercept)
- I also modeled #33 for you, we were given a standard form of a quadratic
- Section 2.1_Mon10-30_completed
- SAT Bellwork: Main idea the vertex is the average of the 2 x intercepts of a parabola BW Fri 10-27
- Students used their phones and completed Desmos activity where they had to chat with a partner in class and describe the parabolas. Polygraph Parabolas.
- No bellwork for today. Students reviewed for about 5 min before the chapter test
- Students took chapter 1 test.
- If you were absent make sure to schedule make up time with me.
- Homework: Special cases worksheet. The key is on the back. Practice and show your work.
- You can do your homework in your homework section if you did not get a paper copy or do it on the worksheet itself
- Factoring Special Cases
