Our “Great Debate”

The students have been engaged in debating this week, applying their knowledge of argumentation, from the gathering of relevant information from credible sources, to citation using MLA, and using Aristotle’s rhetorical appeals of ethos, pathos,and logos. It’s been great to see them demonstrate the skills that are essential in Language Arts: reading, writing, speaking, and listening, and to actually realize how important all four skills are in real-life activities such as a debate. I’m very proud of all of their hard work!
