Ratio Reasoning Story Problems
In class work for Tuesday:
Extra Credit Opportunity!
To earn 5 extra formative points, you can do the following:
On Thursday, April 19th, bring 3 different grocery/drug store advertisements to Math class. For example, you can bring a Kroger ad, Dearborn Fresh ad and a Meijer ad. OR you can bring a Rite Aid ad, CVS ad and Walgreen Ad. The ad must not be printed from the websites of these stores. They must be the ads delivered to people’s homes or picked up directly from the store.
FIELD TRIP
It is going to be cold w/some rain tomorrow. Make sure to wear a sweatshirt and/or jacket and pants– not shorts! Pack a poncho or make your own and pack it in your small bag. You can make your own by taking a trash bag and poking a whole in the top for your head. It will work great in the afternoon, during which it may rain. You may also want to pack extra socks in case your shoes get soaked.
Other things to pack:
-Water
-Kleenex
-Snacks for the bus ride there ONLY
-motion sickness medicine if you get sick on long car rides (like me). We can not give you any medication. You have to bring it yourself and take it yourself. It’s a good idea to have a note from a parent as well.
Study Tools…
Some study tools for tomorrow’s test include:
- ISN (page 35 has the GUESS method strategy broken down into steps with an example and page 36 has a foldable with examples of using the inverse operation to solve equations)
- Instruction Book pages 186-195
- Stations work
Binder and Locker Clean-out
In class, tomorrow, we will be conducting a binder clean-out. To prepare for that, you should check your Student Connect account and make sure that all of the grades on the assignments that you received back are entered correctly. After doing that, you can recycle all of your practice sheets and old homework. DO NOT recycle your assessments, multiplication table or Cornell Notes.
On Friday, we will do a locker clean-out. Make sure you check your grades for all classes and turn in any missing assignments prior to cleaning out your binders and lockers.
