Once you have completed your test, you may work on IXL FF14 (6th grade). You will show your work on a lined paper using the following steps:

V=lwh

V= (substitute)

V= (multiply)

V= (answer in cubic units)

For some of the IXL, you will need to use the “work backwards” and “guess and check” strategies.

Work backwards—> Start with the total volume instead of starting with the dimensions

Guess and check–> Guess what the missing dimension is and multiply. Then, try another guess to get closer and closer to the correct missing dimension.

Directions: Open the attachment below. Then, write your answers on a lined sheet of paper CLEARLY. Make sure to number each answer. (#6 is extra credit) Once you have completed this part of the test, you may staple it to the other part of your test and turn it in to the tray.

This week, in Geometry, we will be focusing on nets of polyhedra and calculating surface area. During SLOT, we will continue to work on story problems with adding and subtracting mixed numbers with different denominators.
