Questions about Khan Academy ???

Here some Frequently Asked Questions about Khan Academy and their answers:

  1. Q: Help! What is my username and password for Khanacademy.org..???                    Answer: Relaaaax; it’s the same username/password as your student gmail.
  2. Q: Help! What should I open first? Khan Academy or your blog?                                        Answer: The easiest way to do this is to open up 2 tabs. In the first tab, log onto your student gmail. In the second tab, open up this link https://iblog.dearbornschools.org/nweapractice/geometry-rit-ranges/. Find your score on this page and begin working on the list of lessons that are under your score.
  3. Q: But, the activities under my score are way too hard!                                                        Answer: Then practice the activities in the section before your score.  And if they are too easy, practice the section ahead of your score.
  4. Q: My Khan Academy isn’t working– what should I do?                                                       Answer: Try logging into your student gmail account first, then visit the NWEA practice link. You may have to disable popup blockers as well.
  5. Q: How does Mrs. Alasry know if I am even doing Khan Academy?                 Answer: What a FIXED MINSET question! But, I’ll have you know that I pull up reports on Khan Academy that tell me exactly how many minutes you spent ACTIVE on Khan Academy and what lessons your practices 😉 #noworries
  6. Q: How do I know my NWEA score?                                                                                           Answer: We wrote it in your planner (Math learning plan) during student conferences.
  7. Q:How do I log into my student gmail?                                                                                         Answer: Just like you log into a Chromebook at school. Use your student number@dearbornschools.org and the password you use for all computers at school.
  8. Q: How do I know how much time I have spent on Khan Academy?                          Answer: You must keep track of the time yourself. I am able to pull reports that will tell me exactly how much time you spent and what skills you practiced, but I can’t share this info with every student because there are so many of you all! Make sure to keep track of the time you spend either by writing down the times or having a schedule.

    1. Hi Aya 🙂 You need to spend 2 hours BUT if you want to spend more, you can. You don’t have to finish all the things on your list but the more you do, the better you will be in Math #growthmindset
      I miss you, too 🙂
