Peek at the Week

  • Our story this week was Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn by Kendard Pak.  This book beautifully illustrates all the changes in nature as we enter into the season of fall. Check out the story by clicking the button below.
  • The students worked on their book handling skills.  We practiced turning pages from left to right and pointing to pictures on the pages
  • We worked on comprehension skills by answering who, what, where questions
  • Our letter focus this week was “Cc” The children explored items from our “Cc” box like cow, cookies, clock, car, cat and cake,
  • We made cows, cats, ate cookies, and cupcakes
  • We did reading buddies with our Kindergarten friends
  • We celebrated Ms. Sisoy’s birthday
  • We sang counting songs and practiced numbers 1-10
  • Our core vocab words for August/September are I, Want, and No
