Peek at the Week
- Our story this week was Our Class Is A Family by Shannon Olsen. This upbeat story beautifully illustrates how we use kindness and caring to develop a classroom that feels like home. We definitely feel like our classroom is a little family of our own as we learn and grow each day together. Check out the story by clicking the button below.
- We made a class book called, Me At School. This very special book illustrates all the different people your child spends time with in school.
- Our letter focus this week was “Bb.” The children explored items from our “Bb” box, like bubbles, bears, balloons, band aids, bus, and ball.
- We played with balloons, sang birthday songs, played with blocks, bells and bubbles
- We continued the Unique Learning System unit on School Rules.
- We sang counting songs and practiced numbers 1-10
- We worked on telling the difference between pictures and words
- The students worked on their book handling skills. We practiced turning pages from left to right and pointing to pictures on the pages
- Our core vocab words for August/September are I, Want, and No
