Well… the year is over and

I am retiring from teaching ART! I have been an Art Teacher with the Dearborn Public Schools for 42 plus YEARS!!! I have been thinking about retiring for awhile- a lot of students and I have shared our lives together! My daughter, my only child, lives in Chicago and I am thinking that I may move there in the near future to be closer to her. This pandemic made me realize that it was time to move on from doing what I love to being with who I love. It was really hard not to see her for such a long time- breaks a moms heart!

The students will always be very special to me, I will always have crayons, paper and markers in my car “just in case”, and I will cherish all the smiles and memories from my years in Dearborn!

Thanks SO MUCH for sharing your most precious gifts with me, I appreciate that beyond words. May you all be safe and well, may you always be creative and find joy in the little things and may you always Be Kind!
