I am retiring from teaching ART! I have been an Art Teacher with the Dearborn Public Schools for 42 plus YEARS!!! I have been thinking about retiring for awhile- a lot of students and I have shared our lives together! My daughter, my only child, lives in Chicago and I am thinking that I may move there in the near future to be closer to her. This pandemic made me realize that it was time to move on from doing what I love to being with who I love. It was really hard not to see her for such a long time- breaks a moms heart!
The students will always be very special to me, I will always have crayons, paper and markers in my car “just in case”, and I will cherish all the smiles and memories from my years in Dearborn!
Thanks SO MUCH for sharing your most precious gifts with me, I appreciate that beyond words. May you all be safe and well, may you always be creative and find joy in the little things and may you always Be Kind!
From the very bottom of my very large heart- THANKS for the great memories!!!
Hello, Families! If you gave not done this survey yet, please make sure you take it! Your input is very important in the decisions that will be made about how we re-open. This is your chance to share your ideas and thoughts! Thanks!!!
Art is over for the year. The cut off date to accept work was Friday, June 5. Grades have been posted so anything you want to do from my blog is just for FUN! You can scroll down to “older posts” to find lots of assignments you could do to keep you creative BUT you DO NOT need to submit anything! I am also including a few things here that you could do to keep busy!
Remember- these are just for fun- not grades, you do not need to send them to me!
Enjoy the fresh air, help out at home and with your family and Be Kind!
