Lets try some sitting exercises this week(12 sit-ups,7 push-ups, and 22 mountain climbers. Standing you can do 12 jumping jacks, 12 line jumps, and 7 squat thrust! Try a new exercise or stretch every day (have fun)! Click on the link below, play videos, have fun and be active! Students can watch videos/ participate (play along) , try to be active/play/read and practice healthy habits 20 minutes daily. Write down what you do each week on paper. How to sign up Big Blue Button Meet -Monday May 11th 10 a.m. (first virtual meeting).

If you have enrolled already, please attend the meet Monday 10am(50 pts) when you share your activity minutes for the week. Any students not attending the meet must send me an email the same week for credit (include activity minutes/journal). Thank you for staying active!!!

You will earn 50 pts this week for joining, I have a list of who joins (PLEASE DO NOT   EMAIL ME AFTER YOU JOIN). When you email activity journals on Fridays , I will post your points in Mi-Star, check your grade on sunday to verify I entered your points for previous week, send one week of activity journals if you dont have points earned (make-up credit recovery).

3. Enter enrollment code  b2bvp7 in blank box, click enroll (right black box).

4. Click Join- this wont work until after the meeting time, when we meet next week it will work after meeting has started.

Students are expected to attend Big Blue button meet next week (replacing Google Hangout-cancelled). Students will get the weekly email every Sunday for week ahead , date/time for BBBM (Big Blue Button Meet) information will be included in email.   1. Students are expected to access the middle school physical education website daily (where it states Click The Link ), don’t click on my I blog link .Write down activity minutes daily, or a short summary of daily lesson .You should keep track of total activity minutes for the week , be ready to share total activity minutes weekly during our Google hangout (goal is 20 minutes daily,100 minutes weekly).
  2. Students need to check in and share out activity journal minutes during Google hangout one day each week( date/time will be posted on weekly calendar, and weekly email sent to you).I will verify 50 points earned weekly during our Google hangout, students should have paper showing that weeks activity journal, be prepared to share how many activity minutes you have for the week (example-30 total minutes, 50 min, 90..etc).At the end of May(29th), email me 6 weeks of your journal entries (you can simply take a picture of the journal page or pages) and email it to me (May 29th) at wykas@dearbornschools.org. A. Students who fail to complete assignments weekly, fail to check in for weekly Google hangouts are possibly not going to pass the course unless sufficient credit recovery for all six weeks is emailed by May 29th. I am always fair and provide the opportunity to recover any points not earned, please check mi star weekly and attend scheduled Google hangout/or email me (important that we have contact)!   1. “Activity/Exercise Journal”…Continue to add to your exercise journal daily for 6 weeks, email me all journals on May 29th ( don’t email them weekly). Students will earn 50 points weekly immediately updating grades by showing written/typed work during our Google hangout, and sharing total activity minutes for the week. All students with a device/internet access should check in/share journal during Google hangout. Those who are unable to participate will still be responsible for six weeks of activity journal entries due May 29th. There will be credit recovery assignments offered if you miss a hangout, just add 50 word assignment for each hangout missed (due May 29th).
  2. Your check-in with me will be during weekly google hangout  .You can make up any hangout week missed during the next weeks hangout, have both weeks written activity logs ready to share .If you want to submit credit recovery assignment for a missed Google hangout email me @ wykas@dearbornschols.org

GOOGLE HANGOUT—No video due to camera issues this week (sound only) , it is critical to check in during the scheduled time each week, be prepared to share total activity minutes for the week (show your work).keep a written/typed record of 6 weeks of activity records, due on May 29th ( don’t send them weekly). Students who fail to check in once a week during Google hangouts will show a 0 for the week unless credit recovery assignment is emailed to me.

Check your grade weekly on mi-star, all students have a total of 300 points to start semester 4, failure to complete assignments will result in not earning up to 50 pts weekly. "Check in with me"...Reply to me right now and simply say “hello”…or write me a short note and let me know how things are going. (3 points) This will count and help clarify any questions you have on assignments . It also will help with calling your home , check your grade on mi-star weekly, you will earn 50 points weekly for successfully completing these two assignments (all students start with 300 points for marking period 4).
