Attached is video that covers the topic of procrastination. Something I have been encouraging you all not to do. This video covers what it is and how to avoid it.

I also wanted to forward the schedule for the essay work again. Make sure you follow it.

Essential Question for Essay

Should Schools Be Allowed to Limit Students’ Online Speech?

Directions: You will write a 5 paragraph using the Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning (CER) format to answer the ESSENTIAL QUESTION. You must use at least three of the DBQ documents in your essay and the sources you use should be properly listed in your document. You may use additional sources from outside the DBQ documents but they WILL NOT count as part of the three required sources.

Schedule for Essays

May 13-15

You should begin writing your essay.   The goal is to write at least one paragraph a day.

May 18-19

Continue writing your essay. Keep following the one paragraph a day model. By May 19 you should have 5 paragraphs completed.

May 20-21

Peer Review Process! This is where we will use the partners you all picked to peer review each other’s essays. You will swap essays and review them. This is a mandatory part of the assignment so make sure you do it. When peer reviewing each person should pick at least three items of improvement and three items that were done well, we will call these FOCUS AREAS. These focus areas should be explained to the essay writer in the peer review process. You can use the COMMENT feature on GOOGLE DOCS to accomplish this.
