**As a reminder. Students were offered the opportunity to retake the Summer Learning Book Test. Many students did poorly on this test, not many students have turned in the test retake form. The test will be retaken a week from today, October 19th, in class. If a student did not fill out a test retake form and have it signed, they may not retake the test.

**In order to do the work in class today, students needed to have completed their homework from Friday. Many students did not complete the homework, which puts us behind. Parents: Please encourage your student to do their homework 🙂 I appreciate the support!

**For homework, students are expected to finish any talking to the text of their video game articles and then go through each article and find 3 solid pieces of evidence from each to support the article’s point of view. For example, the NEWSELA article is against playing video games, so you would find 3 pieces of evidence to support why people should not play video games. The AVID article is pro video games, so you would find and identify 3 pieces of evidence about why people should play video games.
