Students received their test score for Unit 1 Test today and had the chance to sign up for a retake. Afterwords, students logged into Khan Academy and worked on the Math SAT Diagnostic tests.

Today we continued our discussion on different angles types and relationships. We discovered how vertical, complementary and supplementary angles are relation. Notes and practice problems are linked below. Practice is homework if not finished in class.
After review last night’s homework answers, we discussed how to use a different type of protractor. Then students were asked to measure, construct and name new angles. They also had more challenging problems constructing triangles and quadrilaterals with specific angle measurements. They will have a little bit of time at the beginning of the hour tomorrow to finish their assignment.

Students finished their City Map Projects in class today. Afterwords, they received 2 review assignments for the Unit 1 Test – a Khan Academy assignment and a review guide. Review guide is due tomorrow and Khan is due Friday at 11:59! Review guide is linked below.

Today students continued working on their in-class project. There will be a short amount of time at the beginning of the hour tomorrow to finish before we begin reviewing for Friday’s Unit 1 Test.

Today students did a mini-investigation to develop a method/formula to find the coordinate point in the middle of a line segment (midpoint). Notes are linked below. Afterwords, they had a chance to finish last Friday’s Mall Map assignment (due @ end of hour) and today’s assignment practicing the midpoint formula.
