Wear pink and donate a $1 on Friday October 23, 2015.

We are learning about shapes and counting these shapes to place on our pumpkins.  We love FALL!!!

“PBIS” is short for Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports. This language comes directly from the 1997 reauthorization of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
PBIS is used interchangeably with SWPBS, which is short for “School-wide Positive Behavior Supports.”
PBIS is based on principles of applied behavior analysis and the prevention approach and values of positive behavior support.

      PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA!

Attention Parents,

On Friday, October 23, 2015, we will have a “Pizza for Snack Day!” fundraiser.

If your child would like to have pizza, chips, or juice for snack on that day they can bring money to school to pre-order on Wed., Thurs. or Fri. Pizza, chips, and juice will be delivered to their class on Friday, October 23, 2015 between 1:00pm-2:00pm (normal snack times).

Prices are as follows:

Pizza slice – $ 1

Chips – $0.50

Juice – $0.50

Dear Parents/ Guardian,

As of this week your child will be receiving their take home reading bag (gallon size Ziploc). This bag will need to be brought to and from school daily! The reading bag will contain new books, familiar books for reread, letter work, etc. for your child to practice at home. In addition to homework packets, this will be your child’s homework. It is expected that your child will read all their books in their book bag with an adult.  They must read every day.  Please make sure your child brings the bag every day to school. Rereading our books every day is an important step to becoming excellent readers!

Dear Parents and Friends,

Our children are back in school again and there is a greater need than ever before for a close relationship between parents and teachers. PTA is an organization made up of parents, teachers, and other community members with the sole purpose of helping children and youth. Parents can increase their involvement with their children and show their loyalty and interest in the school system through PTA. We expect so much of children in their school achievements and school conduct. We need to turn and lend an ear to hear about new ways of guiding young people. Come to PTA meetings – your child will be pleased to know you are taking an active part in his/her education and in him/her. Please send your dues in today!! Just $10 for each parent. The children need your help through PTA projects and programs.
