On Thursday, May 18th, we will be going on a field trip to the Detroit Zoo. We are leaving the school at 9:00 am SHARP and will return back to Lowrey by 2:30 pm. The students will be able to see a variety of zoo animals and their habitats. Please be on time, buses will leave at 9:00!

The cost of the field trip is $10 per child. Please sign the permission slip and return with money by Friday, April 21st. $10 will cover the admission to the zoo and transportation.

Your child will need a bag lunch with a drink. NO GLASS BOTTLES! So please pack your child a healthy lunch to eat! Please do not send any money with your child.  They need no money at the zoo as they will be bringing their lunch.

We will be taking 5 parents to help out on the trip. Parents will be chaperoning other students, so they are not able to bring younger siblings with them. The bus will be able to seat 5 parents from each Kindergarten class only. If you want to come along you are more than welcome to follow us in your vehicle if you are not chosen to ride the bus with us. The cost for parents will also be $10. In addition to the cost for admission it is a $10 parking fee if driving separately.

Please DO NOT  send money for yourself unless you are CHOSEN as a chaperone.  Other parents may drive and take other chaperones with them in their car if they like and this would be greatly appreciated!  

Permission slips and money is due Friday, April 21st and will not be accepted late as we must prepay the zoo to be able to get a reduced rate! Please send in your child’s permission slip and money by this Friday.  NO LATE MONEY WILL BE ACCEPTED!
