was SUPER fun 🙂  An enormous thank-you to everyone who was able to drive!!!!  We look forward to having as many parents as we can join us on June 8th for our trip to the zoo, also!!

We are taking the NWEA reading test in the morning tomorrow!  Everyone needs a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast 🙂

Field Trip Tomorrow! We will be going to Ford Lanes tomorrow afternoon. We will leave shortly AFTER our normal lunch/recess time, so students should plan to either bring a lunch or order like normal. Students will each have one slice of cheese pizza and a glass of Sprite at the bowling alley at around 2:00.

• If you volunteered to drive, please arrive to the school by 12:30. If you have not already stopped in to have your driver’s license and registration copied by Mrs. Jumaa or Mrs. Jenkins, please bring it with you and plan to arrive around 12:15 to have that taken care of before we need to leave. Thank you!

and decided we like getting our new spelling words on Tuesdays and turning them in on Mondays.  So, new spelling words will come home tomorrow and be due on Monday, May 9th.

Lunch menus DID come home today, but chef’s choice for Tuesday is:  1. bean/cheese burrito  2. cheese pocket pizza

Our field trip is coming up on Wednesday!!!  If you are a driver, please make sure you have stopped in the office and let them make a copy of your registration and insurance.

• April PBIS reward tomorrow! We will watch some of the Tigers game.  Students are able to bring in a special snack/drink – junk food is okay for this one.

Looking ahead:

• Just a reminder that spelling is not due until Monday.
• You guys are the best!!!  We have plenty of drivers/chaperones for our field trip next week 🙂  Thank you!!
• Date change:  Due to field day being scheduled for June 13th, our picnic will now be on Tuesday, June 14th.

• Spelling words will come home tomorrow.  That means the test will not be until Monday.
• So far, we have enough drivers to transport 14 students on the bowling field trip.  Permission slips are due on Friday!
• Math test tomorrow – the study guide was posted a few days ago, but here it is again if you need it:  Math Review- Unit 9

is tomorrow (Friday).  Students who would like to wear a hat are asked to donate $1.  The money will go towards the PBIS store that they earn prizes from for staying on green.

Their homework tonight was to write me a letter about how they felt about our field trip today.  I thought it was great, hopefully they did, too 🙂

• New spelling words for this week will be given out tomorrow.  The test will be on Monday.
• If you haven’t already, please return your picture envelope (or money if you plan on purchasing the pictures) by tomorrow!
• Our trip to the historical museum is Wednesday.  Thanks to Mr. Wolski, Mrs. Arteaga, and Ms. Wright for being our chaperones for this trip.  We will be back at school by lunchtime, so please plan to pack or buy lunch like normal.
• LOOKING AHEAD:   We have just confirmed a field trip to Ford Lanes in Dearborn Heights for Wednesday, May 4th.  We will leave school right after lunch at 12:30 and return to school by 3:15.  I wanted to let you know now because we WILL need parent drivers for this trip! More information will follow, but if you are willing to be a parent driver for this trip, please let me know 🙂
