What if I told you that you can make it snow in June? That sounds crazy, right! Well, you can with this science experiment! Here are the materials you need:
- Baking soda
- Shaving cream
- Vinegar
- Plastic container
- Spoon or anything to mix the ingredients together
Here are the directions:
- Put 1 cup of baking soda in the plastic container.
- Add some shaving cream (enough to cover the top of the baking soda).
- Mix the baking soda and shaving cream together.
- After mixing the ingredients together, take the “snow” out of the container and play with it!
- For extra fun, add a small amount of vinegar to your snow!
This YouTube video explains the directions and shows you what the snow will look like:
Work Time
I encourage your child to engage in imaginary play for at least 60 minutes a day. To keep the consistency with what we do at school, I encourage you to follow the Plan, Do, Review process.
