The second graders have been learning about painting. They are practicing using their own pallette to mix tints and shades of green by adding  white to make a color lighter and black to make a color darker. They also got some practice making green by using the primaries blue and yellow. This week they are cutting their beautifully painted green papers into triangles, curling and rolling them into fringe and attaching various green fibers to them.  Next week will begin construction of our tree trunk.  Each evergreen will be completed with it’s own bird nest and pinecones.
