Our field trip to the Dearborn firehouse is WEDNESDAY from 12:30-2:30. On Thursday we have a visit to the pumpkin patch and petting farm that will be coming to Miller.  We also have a magic show as part of our PBIS reward for the month of October.  In the evening on Thursday, the PTA will be hosting their annual Boo Bash from 5:00-6:30.  I hope you all can attend 🙂

Here is what our academic week looks like:

Math:  We will be starting module 2.  This week we will focus on using a clock to measure time in seconds and minutes.

Science:  We will explore the concept of friction and how it affects a rolling car by testing it on different surfaces.  Students will develop a claim about friction and support that claim with evidence from their investigation.

Social Studies:  We will finish up the unit and begin going over the study guide.  The test will be given next week.  More information will be coming as to the exact date.

Reading:  We will focus on comparing and contrasting two informational texts using double bubble maps.

Writing:  We continue to work on narrative writing pieces.
