Good afternoon! It’s hard to believe May starts this week. With only a few weeks left in the school year, we have a lot to do still. This week we will be taking the MStep ELA and Math tests. Testing will take place Tuesday-Friday mornings. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and breakfast in the morning. Also, it is extremely important that all students are in school on time as testing will begin right away. When a student comes in late it disrupts the entire class and creates unnecessary test anxiety for the student that now has to catch up to where the rest of the class is. Due to testing this week there will be no spelling test on Friday and homework will be limited. Here is what we will be doing when we are not testing.
Math:Â We will be using area models to solve word problems.
Science:Â We will be investigating crayfish structures and their functions.
Social Studies:Â We will be starting our last unit on government.
Reading:Â We will be completing IReady lessons.
Writing:Â We will begin our research reports.
