Hello Families! I hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful weekend! It will be a little chillier throughout the week, so please make sure your children are dressed for the weather. This week we have our firehouse field trip Monday afternoon. We will be leaving right after lunch. On Wednesday morning we will be participating in a healthy living workshop. This is our first week out of six where kids will learn about healthy eating choices. It will take place every Wednesday. Make sure to ask your children what they’re learning and see how you might be able to incorporate some of those things in your home. Here is what we will be focusing on this week.

Math: We will be solving multiplication and division story problems. Students will get an end of module review by the end of the week. The module one test will be on Monday, October 28.

Science: Our test will be next week. Look for the study guide to come home Wednesday. The answer key to the study guide will be posted on my blog if you’d like to help your child study.

Social Studies: We will be continuing our study of the geography of Michigan. By the end of the week students will get a study guide. There will be a test next week.

Reading: Our focus continues to be on informational text. We will focus on finding the main ideas and supporting details.

Writing: This week we will start typing our personal narratives for publication.
