We will be taking our module 3 math test on Friday. Students will get a study guide today to complete and work on. On Thursday we will go over the correct answers for the study guide. We will take the test on Friday!

Hello Families! Happy March! Hopefully we will see more Spring weather this week. March is Reading Month! We will have library check out on Monday. Students will be testing for Reading, Writing and Speaking for the WIDA test. We will review and test on Module 3 at the end of the week Thursday and Friday. Here is our focus for the week:

Reading:We will determine the central message in a story and recount the beginning, middle, and end using key text evidence.

Math: We will solve two-step word problems using the four operations and represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity.

Writing: We will examine sample writing from MSTEP and practice the RACES strategy.

Science: We will continue to analyze the impact of weather related hazards.

Social Studies: We will analyze traditional stories of Native Americans by making inferences about their beliefs from their legends.

We will be eating lunch in the cafeteria at 10:20. Since this is an unusually early lunch for us, students will be able to eat another small lunch in the classroom when we return from the field trip. Please pack a LIGHT lunch for your child. A sandwich and small snack would be great.
