  1. Spelling – word of the week. Write the word. define the word, and use it in a sentence.
  2. Math – finish independent work from today and Moby Max assignment.
  3. Missing work – if your name is on the board for any missing work it needs to be completed!! You know who you are.
  4. Read 20 minutes!!
  5. Field trip permission slips.

Homework – 

  1. Spelling – word work – 1 choice from spellers choice menu.
  2. Reading – character traits about yourself – two external and two internal.
  3. Missing work – social studies and spelling sentences. Many did not have this assignment complete today. Make sure to complete it and turn it in tomorrow morning.
  4. Read 20 minutes!!
  5. Field trip permission slips.

Homework –

  1. Spelling sentences. Write one sentence for each word.
  2. Finish social studies research.
  3. Finish math
    1. 3rd – p. 30-33 and Minute 3
    2. 4th – p. 208-211 and Minute 3

Class Reminders –

  1. Scholastic Book Orders are due tomorrow.
  2. A permission slip went home today for a trip to the Dearborn Symphony. Please review, sign, and return on or before February 9th.
  3. We are still collecting donations for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Our class goal is $250. Our class has raised about $60 so far! Donate what you can. Every penny counts!!

4th graders will be attending their field trip to the DIA this Thursday or Friday. A lunch needs to be packed as they will be gone from 9:00 – 1:00 pm.

Reminders – 

  1. Tonight (January 25) is Family Game Night at Miller! 4:45 – 5:45 pm. I hope to see you there!
  2. Tomorrow (January 26) is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 11:45 am.

Homework – 

  1. Thursday Word Work
  2. Spelling Test Tomorrow – Study!!!
  3. Math Instruction Book p. 2 – 7 (3rd and 4th grade)

Our class is in need of tissue boxes!! If you would like to donate a box of Kleenex and/or disinfected wipes to our classroom, it would be greatly appreciated.

Class reminders –

  • Students received their new spelling words today. Their homework assignment for tonight is to write each word in a sentence. This will be due tomorrow morning.
  • We will be NWEA testing this week. Please make sure students get to sleep early and have a healthy breakfast.

Wednesday, January 24

  • Miller hosts Skate Night at the Lincoln Park Roller Skating Arena 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

Thursday, January 26

  • PTA Meeting/Open House – 9:00 am in the Cafeteria. Our room will be open from 10:00 – 10:30 for visitors!
  • Miller Math Night 4:45 – 5:45 pm.

Friday, January 27

  • Students have a half day. Dismissal is at 11:45 am.

Reminders – 

Math Night will be on Thursday, January 25 at 4:45. The event will take place at Miller.

Skating Night will take place on Wednesday, January 24th. Tickets are on sale at school for $7. This ticket price includes rental skates.

Homework – 

Students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes every day.

3rd and 4th grade will have a math test on Monday. Study guides will be going home with students today.

4th grade permission slips for the DIA trip are due on Friday, January 26. Please sign and return!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend! Students came to school today and noticed some changes in their classroom. Ask your child about some of the cool changes we made. Be sure to ask them about their new seats, Cheese Bucks, estimation, and our new classroom jobs. 

We will not have spelling words this week due to the short week. 

Homework for tonight:

  1. Read 20 Minutes
  2. Complete Math Worksheet
  3. 4th Grade DIA Permission Slips – due January 26.
