TKAM Part 1 Quiz tommorrow
Remember to study your Quiz Prep (posted last Thursday) as well as vocabulary and comma rule bell work. Bring a #2 pencil Tuesday and your novel.

HONORS–Work on your character “tweets”!
Bring your ideas to class on Monday to add to your character poster. Each partner should write 5 tweets from their character’s perspective about the events in chapters 7 & 8.
Read ch. 13 for Friday!
Focus on the characterization of Aunt Alexandra and how she affects the mood of the house and disrupts the children’s lives. Add post its.
Part 1 Quiz Prep-Due Monday
The quiz is on Tuesday, 4-17.
Do the attached quiz prep and bring it in on Monday for bonus points for the quiz. If you don’t have a printer, write out your answers clearly.
Read ch. 12 by Thursday
Look for continued changes in Jem, seeing Calpurnia in a new light, and reverse racism. Why does Lee add this scene to the book at this point?
Read chapters 7-11 FOR RETURN TO CLASS
Focus on:
characterization of characters/changes in perspective
building of the themes of empathy, tolerance, and courage
changes in Jem as he matures
symbolism of mockingbird and mad dog
