LA4-Voc. 6 Poetry Set 1  Due: Monday

HONORS: Read ch. 1-8 of Secret Life of Bees and complete the compare/contrast note-taker.  Due: 5-11-18

You will be reading this novel on your own while doing Unit 3 work in class (POETRY), so do not lag behind on your reading!  You will be writing a compare/contrast essay between TKAM and Bees. I suggest using post-its in this novel, like TKAM (keep as a resource for the time being), to keep track of various thematic ideas which will be an aide to you in class as well as for the essay.  Expect an in-class assignment based on the reading when it and the note-taker are due.

The first column of the chart should be your thoughts/insights on the given motif,  the second should have several quotes examples with chapter/pg# of the motif, and the third box should have several examples from TKAM with ch/pg# (use your post its).  This will be evidence for your essay, so choose your OWN examples and do NOT copy another student’s work! Theme ch. 1-8

AOW #6 will be done IN CLASS this Friday and handed in at the end of the hour.
