Hi everyone! I’m Ms S, one of the new-ish (used to work at Oakman four years ago) art teachers. Click on the link below if you would like to learn more about me:

I created a lesson for you to work on until all of my Oakman classes are in Schoology. When you’re finished, please submit to: styczyj@dearbornschools.org. Along with the photo, leave your first and last name and your teacher’s name.
A couple tips before you get started on your Toy Photography project:
*One big tip* The most successful pictures had extreme closeups. When taking your picture(s), you need to be VERY close to your subject (toy). Also, think about the background. Don’t just take a picture of a stuffed animal sitting on your bed! Create a world for the toy(s) to live in! For example, in the last picture (princess battle) below, the student blocked off the rest of the room by using two pieces of foam core, put the fighters in a ring, and gave them an audience. The student who used Batman placed him in front of her computer screen with an explosion on the screen. She also dimmed the lights to make the image look like something from the movies.
Here are some examples from students at Snow ES last year:
I created a short Google Slide if you are interested in learning more about me.
Also, I have Schoology pages for all of my students at Snow. Be sure to check out the art page!
