Learning Labs

We are entering a new phase of our school year. Our learning labs will begin this week! I have grouped my students into reading groups for learning labs. I have scheduled each group to come into school during the afternoon. Just a friendly reminder to enter through the doors by the office where students will be temperature checked. All students also must wear a mask. A permission slip will be provided for you to fill out for your child to allow them to participate in learning labs. If you could fill in out that would greatly be appreciated and if you could be at the door at pick up time that would help keep students moving and keep them at a safe distance. When students come for learning labs this week, please have them bring their book bag and journal. We are all looking forward to learning labs and practicing our reading strategies together!

EPIC BOOKS

Over 900 books have been read on Epic books by my students since we began school! This has totaled over 100 hours of reading! I am so proud of my students! Remember, if you want to read into the evening (after 4:00pm) on Epic books you need to respond to the email invite that I sent to you. This will allow you to read a selection of books for free in the evening. Epic books is usually only free during school hours. Great job! Keep on reading!

CLASS ASSIGNMENTS

The Red Folders containing the September packet of activities and Zoom activities should now be complete. Please store all of these papers in the Red folder to be collected when your child comes into school for our learning labs this week. I will grade the papers at that time.
