Welcome back everyone! I’m so excited to see how much our students have grown and developed. This year my home/main school is still Oakman Elementary. Instead of travelling between Oakman and Maples like last year, I will now be going to River Oaks and Emmanuel Lutheran. For conferences, I’ll be at Oakman. Most days you can find me there/here!
Have a safe and fantastic summer break!! I’ll be at both schools for Summer School. Keep cool!
I remember doing the rope in my childhood days. Now, I’m lucky if I can just get on the rope let alone climb it! Students have been doing awesome. I’ve really enjoyed watching their progress!https://iblog.dearbornschools.org/southers/wp-content/uploads/sites/2696/2018/06/img_0646.movThis short video is of a 4th grader! I will put up pics of students on the rope soon.
Last minute ideas, weather changes, and extra time at school all night putting together INDOOR field day for PreK-5th graders! We were in classrooms, the gym, the staff lounge, and several hallways. Great appreciation for the support staff and our Principal, Mr. Abu-Rus for helping keep everything smooth. We ended the day with a class vs class Tug-of-War competition! Teachers vs 5th graders from Mrs. Gartha’s class were the final 2 to compete. TEACHER’S WON!!This rope was so humongous that we had to go diagonal in the gym!
Busy week to start off. Whole school Field Trip to High Velocity Sports in Canton, MI. The kids and I had a blast!Y5’s student and I on an exhausting inflatable!
Oakman preK-2nd grade classes did various performances to show what they care about.
Within the last couple of months, everytime a student did something amazing, we would write it on a strip of paper to later be linked up together and form a long chain.
We all had a nice day with everybody!PreK & Young 5’s!
Horrible weather but the 5 students I had from Oakman toughed it out and did a great job!! Families came and supported as well.
