Hello all of my students!

I hope you’re having a wonderful summer and enjoying these lazy days. I’ll bet many of you went swimming last week when the temperatures were in the 90’s. That was way too hot for me! So I am thankful for these cooler temperatures of this week.

I have been busy with home projects and doing lots of reading. How about you? Have you been keeping up with reading? Maybe RAZ Kids? Remember RAZ Kids and ZEARN are open all summer. Both companies have extended our subscriptions for the summer so take advantage of these opportunities.

I still keep up with my walking, usually early in the morning, because it’s cooler during those hours.

I think of you all every day. Here’s today’s thought…

Never stop learning

because life

never stops teaching.”

Happy 4th of July!

Patriotic Residents of The Avenue in South Orange Await Fourth of ...

I hope all of my families have a wonderful day celebrating our holiday. The 4th of July is also called “Independence Day.” Why is it called “independence Day?” From what country did we gain our “Independence?” Why did we want to separate from that country? Find that country on the map. What body of water would we cross to get to that country?

Parents,

Enjoy every moment together.

that I had taken for granted-

I had assumed that there would be

a thousand more.”

Great Picnic Time!

We had a wonderful day getting together at our picnic. We missed those that couldn’t attend but we understand previous plans are possible. Sorry we missed getting Aicha in this picture. She was there too, as was:

Sal, Ameer, Youssef, Fatima, Leya, Mariam Max, James, August, Juliana, Ali, Ike, Aicha

I also had a special surprise visit from a previous student and her family who now attend St. Pius….Nevaeh, Nick, and Mom! Thanks for the surprise!

Keep reading and stay up with the math. Both RAZ Kids and Zearn have given us free subscriptions for the remainder of the summer! So NO EXCUSE not to be reading and doing math! I will still be checking weekly to monitor progress. 🙂

Love you all,

Mrs. Smith

Hello my favorite people…MY KINDERGARTENERS!!

Looking forward to seeing you next Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Ford Field for a picnic and a chance to see each other!!! Let’s meet at the lower part where there are picnic tables and a nice playscape equipment structure. You’re welcome to bring balls, bats, hula hoops, jump ropes, etc too. Reminder to bring sunblock and maybe some mosquito repellent. Since we didn’t get our last day class picture I’ll take a group picture around noon (just to give you a time frame in case you had other plans.)

I’m excited to see each of you. See you next Wednesday, July 1 at lower part of Ford Field.

Hope you are all well.

Love,

Mrs. Smith

Summer Time!!

June 11, 2020

Well, today is our last day of Kindergarten and how my kids have grown. It will be a year to remember in many ways and for many things. If you haven’t read my letter to Parents, take a moment and read it. I meant every word.

I was glad for BBB time with many students AND I did get it to work after we logged off. I tried it with a few students and it was successful.

I would like to have a gathering on July 1 at 11:00 am to have lunch and a picture together. Let’s meet at Ford Field. I understand that efferctive June 8, the Governor has changed the order to allow for outdoor gatherings for up to 100, as long as social distancing is observed. Maybe by July 1 we may have even more allowance. In the meantime, let’s put July 1 (Wednesday) 11:00 on your calendar and bring our lunches for some time together. I’m already looking forward to it!

Lastly, have a relaxing, fun-filled summer. Thanks for sharing your child with me. I have enjoyed every day with them…they have grown in my heart.

God’s Blessings to each of you and your families.

Love,

Mrs. Smith

With great apologies, I need to move our BBB meeting to Thursday, June 11 at 4:00. So sorry for any inconvenience this change may have caused you.

See you on Thursday at 4:00.

Also, there will be no Remote Learning this week. It’s the last week of Kindergarten! Yeah, we’ve made it through a whole year of Kindergarten! Let’s finish by seeing each other on Thursday at our BBB class meeting!
