Good afternoon!

Welcome back and happy new year! We are excited to see you back with us and ready to learn!

As you know, reading NWEA is coming up next Monday. We have been practicing for NWEA in class for a while now. I am attaching a few links that will help you prepare for NWEA and review some skills that might be on the test.

Prep Dog: This website has NWEA type questions that will be very helpful to you. It allows you to answer questions and then check if you answered them correctly. Practice everyday a different test so you become familiar with NWEA questions you might see.

Figurative language game: This game will help you review four types of figurative language that we talked about.

**Please make sure you turn in any missing assignments that you have!

Have a great rest of your day!

Hello!

Today we continued to practice summarizing! We read “The Mystery on The Blue Ghost” and made a list of what a good summary contains. Our summary quiz is on Friday.

This week’s homework is IXL- not ReadTheory! Students should log in with their IXL log in (same as math) and need to complete EE 1: Identifying adjectives and EE 3: Identifying adverbs. Students need to earn an 80% on each of these sections. This is due on Friday. Please make sure you are working on this at home.
