Never Give Up!

image

This is so funny,  yet so true!
Sometimes students get overwhelmed with new information, assignments,  tables to learn,  spelling lists,   reading books and books,  etc., but lets keep the focus! If students do a little bit each day with your help,  it all adds up!
The moral of the picture is even when things seem to be too big or hard to accomplish or achieve, keep trying and don’t give up.
Students don’t give up keep going…you came a long way and I am so proud of you!
You are amazing! Remember, practice makes perfect!
Parents you are the best!
Thank you for everything!

Busy Week

Our class has been too busy getting things done. The students were so engaged and focused 😄.
Next week we will have the government social studies test. A study guide was sent home to be practiced and studied. It’s a hard test, please help them study.
Multiplication and division facts: Many of the students still have difficulty with their multiplication facts. Please help them memorize their facts. Website are a great source too.
Here are some photos of our class:mrgreen::mrgreen:

Valentines Day

Good Morning Families,

Your child may participate in passing Valentine cards ??and treats???? this coming Thursday, February 11th.
If you choose to send cards or treats, please make sure to send enough for 27 students- we don’t want any students to feel left out.
We are allowing only individually wrapped treats. No large bags allowed in class. Students will save their treats to be enjoyed at home .
I am not sending a list of names home to make it easier on the students. Please have your child write their name on the 27 Valentine card.???

Housekeeping: Thanks for the patents who continue to provide a daily healthy snack.  I have been noticing an increase of unhealthy snacks among my students. Help our class stay healthy. ???????????

Thank you,
Mrs. Shakarchi

Lansing Chaperons

Field Trip Reminder!

Thank you so much for volunteering for our field trip to Lansing!  This is just a reminder that you should report to school with your child because we will be leaving shortly after school starts.  Please be sure to have your cell phone charged so that I will have a means of contacting you during the field trip.  You will have anywhere between 1-4 students in your small group.  On the day of the trip I will provide you with the names of each student who will be with you during the trip as well as my cell phone number.  Remember, please only use your phone for contacting me when needed during the trip.  We want to ensure that the students learn as much as they can during the trip, so PLEASE refrain from cell phone usage during the trip.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  See

you soon!

Trip to Lansing

Lansing 2016 (1)

Today, all third grade teachers sent out permission slips to the Lansing field trip on February 2.  Please ask your child to give it to you and have it signed and returned as soon as possible.

If you decide to chaperons, there is a new requirement were chaperons have to be approved as a “Dearborn Public Schools Chaperon”. If your child was absent they will receive the permission slip Monday.  We would love to have up to six chaperons per class.  Hope you will join us.

Have a wonderful weekend.
