OCTOBER SNACK : Tyler Elliott and Brooklyn Elliott

Just a reminder that Friday October 12, 2018 is a Half Day of School with dismissal at 11:45 AM.  Also, please remember that the children will not eat lunch at school but  remember to bring a snack.

Thank you to all the parents who volunteered for our field trip to the Plymouth Apple orchard.  Not the greatest weather but a successful trip.  Thank you for being my helping hands.  Harry’s Mother shared some pictures with me from the trip.  If anyone would like me to forward them to you please let me know.

I will be sending home a note tomorrow about bringing in your child’s favorite kind of apple.  We will be having an apple tasting party on Friday October 12, 2018.  If you are able to bring in an apple, it is much appreciated.  We will be graphing our favorite kind of apples.

As the weather is changing please dress your child according to the weather.  Also, please practice putting on their coats and zipping the coat themselves at home.

We have been practicing building stamina with our book boxes and learning three good ways to read books to become better readers.  We have been learning and doing many activities with apples and fire safety. We just finished our first book for our book boxes. Also, we have started working on our leadership binders too.

Mr. Mayhew our school social worker has left Dearborn Public Schools and is working for another school district.  He was a great asset to Lindbergh Elementary School andwill be missed greatly.  For now, we do not have a fulltime social worker.  Hopefully soon we will receive a replacement and our Second Step social and emotional program and our reward program will return to normal.
