Story of the Week: Chrysanthemum

A PEEK AT OUR WEEK…

*We learned about Valentine’s Day
-We decorated our own valentines
-We chose who we wanted to give our valentines to

-We took pictures with our valentines and made a class book with them called The Little Valentine.

The students REALLY enjoy reading this story!

Our story of the week was Chrysanthemum
-We discussed Chrysanthemum’s feelings
-We discussed how to be a nice friend and how being mean to others makes them feel
-We practiced talking by answering the question, “What is your name?”
-We practiced spelling our names
-We counted the letters in our name
-We made a graph with our names and how many letters are in our names and then discussed which students’ name has the most letters and the least letters

-We did a Chrysanthemum name craft

We had fun!

On Tuesday was Family Science Night at Snow.
We did our class science experiment a couple weeks ago when we made fake snow.
The students predicted whether or not they thought fake snow was cold or not.

Here are the results from our classroom Super Bowl predictions:

WOOHOO! Go Eagles!!! 😉
