Last week students worked hard to create their vocabulary flashcards, some used the information to complete their team’s thinking maps and lastly they completed an assessment for this unit as they were evaluated on their understanding of the content regarding the characteristics of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Grades are posted and visible on student & parent connect.

This week, students will be presenting their home project and connecting their model to their peers to explain the phenomena. I am looking forward to viewing it and listening to their explanations.

Thank you very much to those who donated cans to fight hunger last week. Every advisory class worked together to sketch a mural they would like to see a replica of throughout our school hallways. These murals will be submitted for review and the winners’ mural from each grade level and hallway will be duplicated into a larger canvas and displayed in our school hallways.

Have a great Thanksgiving Break everyone and I hope you will take the time this week to reflect on your success in school so far and review your science learning plan! Lastly, please enjoy a well deserved family time together.
