Pre-algebra

Unit of Study: Properties of Integer Exponents

Students will learn how to solve equations using order exponent’s rules

( group work/ Math Menu/ Independent skill).

Student will review integers and learn about rules of exponents.

Assessment:  9/19

ELA

Unit of Study: Narrative Text and plot Elements (continue)

Students will analyze fiction texts ( Text # 2) titled ” The Ultimate weapon”, identify plot elements and cite textual evidence to support claim.

Students will apply structured reading and writing , complete plot Diagram # 2 and will orally present it. It will be graded as a summative assessment

U.S. History

Unit of Study:  Spanish Colonies

Students will read and analyze  informational texts and learn significant facts about Spain in the New World.  Student will learn new academic vocabulary.

They will complete Frayer model and Talk-to-Text.
