Unit of Study: Exponents

Students will learn how to solve equations applying exponents’ rules

( group work/ Independent skill).

SLOT: Student will review integers.

Assessment: Friday 9/13/19

ELA

Unit of Study: Narrative Text and plot Elements

Students will analyze fiction texts ( Text # 2) titled ” The Ultimate Weapon”, identify plot elements and cite textual evidence to support claim.

Students will apply structured reading and writing , complete plot Diagram # 2 and will orally present it. It will be graded as a summative assessment.

U.S. History

Unit of Study:  Earliest Americans- continue

Students will read and analyze an  informational book and learn significant facts about Earliest Americans.  Student will learn new academic vocabulary.

They will complete Frayer model and write a structured summary.

Assessment: Tuesday 9/10/19

Physical Science

Unit of Study: The Scientific Method- continue

They will read and analyze informational texts and create foldable/ thinking maps.

They will learn new academic vocabulary(observation- qualitative/ quantitative/ inference/ experiment/ variable/ control).
