The Kindergarten google classroom has many more concepts than our Y5 curriculum. Consider these activities a resource to help students continue academics.

The most important thing you can continue to do is read to your student! Below are some online opportunities for stories:

OTHER IDEAS!

Have your student read to you from their book bag.

Practice writing first and last name (first letter capital, the rest lower case)

Practice writing 1-20 (especially those tricky teens)

Count aloud by 1′, 5’s and 10’s

Try writing our sight words (off the ring of words) in “rainbow writing”

Keep a journal. Make sure students draw characters and a setting. Give them a short sentence stem to finish: “I like to…..”, “We go to….”, “I can….”
