2019 – 2020 School Year

Week of 8/26 – 8/29

Welcome to the beginning of our school year. I hope you had a relaxing and fun filled summer and are eager to start.

This week all of my physical education classes will be participating in a week of orientation activities. Getting to know the expectations and procedures will be the main emphasis. Next week all classes can expect to start fitness running along with modified football games (flag football & falcon football), soccer, and basketball.

Week of 4/29 – 5/3

This week all of my classes will be returning to the gym/outdoors.  While in the gym, we will be completing the spring PACER fitness test along with basketball, indoor soccer, and table tennis.  On days where the weather cooperates, will be outside participating in fitness walk/run, soccer, flag football, and/or softball.

Week of 3/25-3/29

This week all of my classes will be rotating to gym C where we will begin playing volleyball.  We will also be assessing our physical fitness with fitness testing.  7th grade students who have not yet taken Human Growth & Development are reminded to return the letters as to whether or not they will be in the class.

Week of 3/4-3/8

This week all of my classes will be taking the PACER fitness test to measure cardiovascular fitness levels.  Over the next several weeks , we will continue to participate in various activities to increase and/or maintain our cardiovascular fitness levels.   Later in the semester, we will take a another PACER fitness assessment to again measure our fitness levels.

Week of 2/18-2/22

This week all of my classes will continue to be in the pool.  6th grade will be working on developing the front crawl while my 7th and 8th grade classes will be preparing for the endurance swim test to be taken on Thursday and/or Friday.

Week of 2/11-2/15

This week all of my classes will be rotating to the pool.   Please remember to bring your swimsuit and a towel.  You may also bring other personnel items such as soap, shampoo, shower shoes, and goggles.  We will be working on developing the Front Crawl swim stroke along with improving our cardiovascular fitness levels.

Week of 1/28-2/1

Welcome to Semester 2!

Now that we are entering week 2 of the 2nd semester, all of my classes have finished going over the rules and expectations for a successful semester.  This week we will be rotating to Gym B while participating in basketball and soccer.  Please remember to bring in your lock if you have not done so already, so that you may be assigned a gym locker for your personal items while participating in PE.  Thank you.

Week of 12/17-12/21

This week all of my classes will be returning to the pool for two weeks which includes this week and the week we return from our up-coming break.  Please remember to bring a towel, your swimsuit and any other items you may need such as sandals, swim goggles, soap, shampoo, etc.  Thank you.
