Bellwork gave students practice with sequences, finding a term very far into the sequence by creating a formula, and finding missing terms of a sequence given the terms directing before and after the missing term.

The remainder of the period we worked on writing Linear and Exponential equations given points that are on the function.  We also discussed Domain and Range of relations.

Hwk #2 is due on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.  Hwk #2 is a practice sheet covering sequences, Linear and Exponential functions, and Domain & Range.

Bellwork gave students practice finding unknown terms of a sequence and writing the equation of a line given the coordinates of points on the line.

The remainder of the period we continued discussion sequences and how they are related to Linear and Exponential Functions.  Students were introduced to the terms Arithmetic Sequence and Geometric Sequence and how to write a formula (equation) for finding any term (n) of the sequence.

Today is a half day so classes are half as long.  Students worked on the bellwork for most of the period.  We went over the first problem together in detail and briefly discussed sequences before the period was over.  Students were to finish the bellwork as homework and turn in tomorrow.
