Bellwork reviewed writing linear equations in Slope-Intercept Form.

Hwk #21 is due today.

Students took a short quiz over Sec 6-2.  After the quiz students were to work on a few problems leading them into the next section (6-3).

The remainder of the period we began discussing Sec 6-3, Standard Form of a Linear Equation.

Hwk #22 will be due on Tuesday, 11/11/14:  Pages 301-302, Problems 5-8, 10, 11, 19, 20, 36, 37, 49, 50 (for #’s 49 and 50 just write the equation in Slope-Intercept Form)

Bellwork today was a Lateral Thinking question.  These questions ask the students to think “outside-the-box” and ask yes/no questions to help them figure out the situation.  It is good practice for thinking, reading, listening, and asking.

The remainder of the period we began our discussion on Sec 6-4, Point-Slope Form for the equation of a line.

Hwk #20 will be due next week (date TBD):  Pages 307-308, Problems 11-14, 21, 22, 37, 38, 40 (for #’s 21, 22, 40 write equation in Point-Slope Form only)
