This weekend’s homework:

1. Read 15 minutes each night!  Ask question when reading, even if just looking at the pictures of a book.  “What do you think is going to happen next?”  “Do you see a letter ‘T’ on this page?”  “Where do I start reading?
   etc.
2. Sign and return behavior calendar.

Please remember to bring in a snack for your child to share with the class.  We have 29 students.

3.  Behavior Calendar- parents must initial, talk about how your day was with mom and dad.

Tonight’s homework:

1. Letter Tt bag-    Please bring 3-5 items from home that start with the letter T sound, such as tomato, turtle, tent, etc. If the item is too big to fit inside the bag provided, please draw a picture of the item. Students will share their letter bags this week at school so make sure they practice saying the name of each item.

2. Behavior calendar- parents please initial and return to school daily.

*Oakman folders need to be brought to and from school EVERYDAY! Students must place in basket when they walk into the classroom each morning (I cannot go through all the backpacks!) many students forgot today and thus did not get their letter T bags for tonight.. Tomorrow if they remember to put their folder in the basket, I will make sure they get their homework!!

Reminders:

1. Please bring in a snack to share with the class. Such as a large box of goldfish or large bag of animal crackers, Graham crackers, etc.

2. Please bring a water bottle to school everyday with your name on it!

I am looking forward to meeting all parents at our parent meeting on Friday, September 9th at 12:00 noon in the Oakman Library!  Students will be in gym and music during the meeting and dismissal will be after the parent meeting (1:30).  Thanks for all your cooperation with the jump start and soft start schedules for Kindergarten!

The FIRST FULL day of kindergarten will be on Tuesday, September 13th (8:35-3:35).   Reminder there is no school on Monday, September 12th for all of Dearborn Schools.
