Month of the Young Child

Oakman staff wore purple yesterday in honor of the Month of the Young Child.

On Saturday, between 10am -12pm, the celebration will continue at Henry Ford College. Bring your kids and enjoy face painting, games, reading and free resources.

Homework & Reminders 4-19-18

 1. Folder— sign behavior calendar for April!! A Blue Paper and White paper were sent home today about a WHOLE SCHOOL FIELD TRIP TO HIGH VELOCITY ***Both forms must be completed.  It is FREE and parents are welcome; however, you MUST drive.   It is located in Canton.  There will not be space on the bus because the whole school is going.  Please let me know if you do not wish for your child to attend so we can figure out numbers!

Fill in new orange reading log with at LEAST 15 minutes of reading (Oakman Read at home pledge).  This time should include reading group books and sight words!!

2. Reading Bag- Please read ALL books in your bag, especially reading group books!  Practice ALL 48 sight word cards including NEW word “no.”  We talked about opposites today, like yes and no!

3. Math Bag– Practice addition (put together) and subtraction (take away) with simple stories at home.

4. Spelling Notebook- write sentences!! Study for TEST TOMORROW!

5. Green Math Work Book for MODULE 4 Lesson 12—homework is page 43 AND 44!!!

Reminders:

Please send in a healthy snack for April! We have 16 friends in our class.  We no longer have school provided snack and NEED snacks!!!  Everyone needs to send in snacks or we not have a class snack anymore.
