Homework & Reminders 3-13-19

** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go, my, in, is, has, for, are, here, you, dog, up, on, have, said, it, she, me, went and TODAY’s 2 NEW sight words am and put.

3.READING GROUP BAG—> read NEW book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: “Find a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the /s/ sound. ETC.”  Please keep alphabet linking chart and on back NEW consonants blends and digraphs in their bag– this is to help with reading and writing during reading groups and can be practiced at home as part of 15 minutes of reading each night!

4. Math Module 4 NEW homework workbook lesson 2 , helper on page 7 and homework page 9, and also lesson 3 page 11 homework helper, and homework page 13.

Homework & Reminders 3-11-19

****Please see me to sign up as a guest mystery reader for March is Reading month.  Daily at 3:00 we are hoping to have a surprise reader come— bring a book or barrow one from me… after you read, we pack up, and you can take your child home (dismissal 3:35).  Thank you!!!!

Practice our assessment of all 40 words is Monday, March 11.  sight words list  

Check your child’s folder to see what words they still need to practice.

Kindergarten Spelling Week of March 11th Test on Friday, March 15th! This week’s spelling words are: look my at run sun Plus 2 other words from the –un family (such as fun, bun, nun, etc.) Thank you for practicing spelling words EACH NIGHT by doing daily assignments (inside cover) in their spelling notebooks! 

We are continuing to work on BLENDS— 2 letters that work together and each have a sound to sound out unknown words— must make sounds slowly then put together to read unknown words like in the videos below! (Please watch and practice at home with videos AND when reading books!!!!)
