Mrs. Fowler & Mrs. Rawson

Please do your best to get ready for approximately 2 hours of at-home learning tomorrow- this time does not have to be all at once. Parents I emphasize greatly the need for some routine and structure during this time. The following is the schedule that I plan to try to follow with my children at home and will adjust accordingly but having a plan and some type of routine is going to be critical to success. We will blog between 8am-9:00 daily the activities, videos, lessons, etc. Please reach out through the remind APP if you have any questions or concerns. I hope everyone is doing well.

Parents Please Carefully READ this post with our kindergarten AT-HOME learning plan. There are many additions highlighted to what we sent home in folders. We will post a daily BLOG for daily activities, lessons, videos, and homework. We will be keeping in touch through the blog and remind APP!!!

Homework & Reminders for the week 3-13-20

We know this is a stressful time for everyone. We will all figure it out together! Please refer to our blog daily and the remind app for our daily activities. Thank you in advance for your support and understanding we are a “TEAM”!

  1. Oakman Folder- sign Behavior calendar for MARCH!!!** 🙂 🙂
  1. Reading bag- ***45*** TOTAL NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS— come, for, are, said, this, one, little, play, me, here, am, do, not, who, with, I, like, the, see, we, go, can, she, a, at, is, was, will, he, has, on, in, and, you, up, look, it, my, to, dog, want, yes, have, no, and her. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!
  2. READING GROUP BAG — TODAY Everyone got a new book or 2 to read three times each tonight, have someone sign when you’re finished. READ every day and focus on fluency and comprehension. To move UP reading levels students need to be able to read the words accurately and COMPREHEND (understand what I read). After reading books, please practice using the handout for the “retelling rope” see picture below!! (Don’t forget to ask your child– what was your favorite part of the story and WHY? or what did this story remind you of?) Story Retelling is KEY to comprehension!!! See if your child can tell you the following from their books in their bag, library book, and/or NEW book from this week Duck, Duck, Dinosaur and I Love You Because You’re You!!

3. Math Homework MODULE 4 Book “Learn” (School workbook) page 119 and 120, Green Workbook “Succeed” (Homework) Lesson 28 homework helper page 111 homework page 113.

Then challenge them to try one sentence themselves using the sight words and the ___un family. When you’re finished take a selfie with your spelling test and post it on the remind app!
