U.S. History

Good afternoon everyone,

For those who observe the month of Ramadan I wish you and your families all the best for safe and healthy days ahead. Ramadan Mubarak.

There are going to be a few changes this week to our schedule and expectations. As many of you know due to the conduct of a number of students in and outside of our district Google Meets will be suspended until further notice. Below is a copy of Dr. Maleyko’s letter addressing the topic. Beginning next week will work on conducting our meetings through Ilearn but while I figure that out instead of a meeting this week we will have you watch a crash course video on the the events of the 1960’s and complete a video reflection. I will send out information on next weeks meetings on Monday May 4th. Included in this post is a link to the video and template for the reflection, the articles for this week and the reading reflection temple (along with links to videos of the articles being read), vocabulary for Chapter Twenty and an updated schedule for this week.

Video Reflection

After you watch the video titled The 1960’s in America: Crash Course #40 please complete the Video Reflection Activity posted in the supplemental material section. You will do this in the same way we do our article reflection meaning you can type in the document and email that to me, print the video reflection, fill it out and email a picture of it to me, or write it out by hand and take a picture then send it to me.

Remember you will record five pieces of information while watching the video that will help you answer the reflection question next to the bullet points on the reflection sheet. Once you have done that and finished watching the video you will respond to the reflection question in a paragraph including two of your five pieces of information in the paragraph as evidence to support your point.

You can either include this in the email for your reading reflection or send a separate email titled: Crash Course #40 Reflection- (Insert Name)- (Insert Hour) Hour
