Good afternoon ladies and gents! Today we began a really cool project designed to create campaign posters for Justinian’s presidential campaign. We will also be taking our vocabulary quiz tomorrow on our Chapter 11 terms.

Special reminder: Tonight parent/teacher conferences are from 4:30-7:30pm  and Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm. Unfortunately I will only be at conferences tonight from 4:30-7:00pm and Thursday from 4:00-5:00pm due to my own college classes. I will leave a sign up sheet and if you have any concerns please place your information down and I will be glad to get a hold of you.

 SWD knowledge of key terms associated with the unit covering the Byzantine Empire by manipulating and matching vocabulary terms in a collaborative activity
 SWD comprehension of the role Justinian played in expanding the strength of the Byzantine Empire by completing a “Justinian for President” Activity.
o Language Objective:
 Students will read and orally match up important vocabulary terms pertaining to our unit covering the Byzantine Empire through using a vocabulary match-up activity
 Students will read, write and orally discuss the role Justinian played in expanding the strength of the Byzantine Empire through creating a poster designed to campaign for Justinian’s election as President
